Tattoo Aftercare 101 – Keep That Ink Fresh 🖤 Here’s how to take care of your tattoo right so it heals clean and stays bold: 1. Leave the wrap on (usually 2–4 hours unless told otherwise). 2. Wash your tattoo gently with water and fragrance-free soap or antibacterial soap. 3. Pat dry using a clean paper towel — no rubbing! 4. Apply a thin layer of healing ointment (like Bepanthen, Hustle Butter, or what your artist recommends). 5. Keep it clean and moisturized, but don’t overdo the cream. 6. No scratching or picking — even if it itches! 7. Avoid sun, pools, oceans, saunas, and long showers for at least 2 weeks. 8.
